So, those who know me know that I am a mountain girl and I LOVE mountain weather! I grew up in Big Creek, CA near Shaver Lake and as the saying goes, you can take the girl out of the mountains but you can't take the mountains out of the girl! When Lily asked if I would come up and do part of her senior portrait session in the mountains WHILE it was snowing I was ALL OVER THAT!
The day started with a lot of really large, fluffy flakes falling. The tricky part was getting a shot without a snowflake in front of her face. I had my daughter along as my assistant and she held the umbralla for her between the different spots we wanted to use as a backdrop. All three of us were soaked by the end of the session.
Lily brought a few cute, curated outfits to change into as we changed locations. I think she made great choices with casual tops and jeans, a cute fur-lined hooded jacket, and rugged boots. She was also a very good model! She made my job easy with natural movement and posing. My goal was to have fun with her and to capture that fun with my camera and we succeeded. Her sweet personality shined through all of her images!
I would love to be your photographer for family photo sessions, high school senior sessions, and fine are children sessions if you are a snow lover like me!
